For the Joy of Yahawah is Your Strength - Defined

Nehemiah 8:10b

“for the joy of יהוה is your strength”

In chapter 8 of Nehemiah, the leaders read the Torah to Yah’s people.

Nehemiah 8:8

And they read in the Book of the Torah of Elohim, translating to give the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

His people wept when they heard the Word of Yah’s Torah.

Nehemiah 8:9

And Neḥemyah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Lĕwites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is set-apart to יהוה your Elohim. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Torah.

Nehemiah and the Levites comforted the people.

Nehemiah 8:8-12

Then he said to them, “Go, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom none is prepared. For this day is set-apart to our יהוה. Do not be sad, for the joy of יהוה is your strength.” And the Lĕwites were silencing all the people, saying, “Hush, for the day is set-apart, do not be sad.” And all the people went to eat and to drink, and to send portions and make a great rejoicing, because they understood the words that were made known to them.

"For the joy of YHWH is your strength" is a misunderstood scripture by many people today. Let's look at the definition for joy and strength from Hebrew.

The Hebrew noun for joy is chedvah (khed-vaw') means joy or gladness.

The Hebrew noun for strength is maoz (maw-oze') means a place or means of safety, protection. It also means refuge and shelter.

English definition of refuge: a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.

Let's break it down with the scripture, per Hebrew Interlinear:

For the gladness/joy of Yahawah, He is your place of safety/protection/refuge.

Yahawah did not want His people to be swallowed up in deep sorrow after their repentance. Yah's Spirit alerted His leaders to comfort the people. They encouraged His people that Yah is joyful to be their refuge, sheltering them from danger. He did not want His people to perish, and He helped them understand His Torah through His leaders. His Torah protects His people from the danger of hell and keeps them on a right track with Him. His Torah, which is the teaching from the love of His Heart, is their protection for their soul and life, which is why Yahawah is filled with joy when His people obey His Word or repent from their sins and turn back to Him.

Many people used this scripture in delusion, when they say their strength is their joy in Yah. How can Yah be their refuge when they are disobedience or do not follow His Torah? They can strengthen themselves with joy all they want, but disobedience will lead them nowhere but hell. He is not joyful with the disobedience and unrepentant of His people.

Yah's Divine Word: Repent, for My Kingdom is coming near. Understand and follow My Torah.

Torah means His instructions and teachings. It also includes His commands, precepts, and statutes.

We can see that we cannot rely on the translator of the Holy Bible. An in-depth study from the original language is a must.

Are You Seeking Your Blessings or Me?

At the bottom of the page is the video I created from hearing Yah's Divine Voice speaking to His people.  Yah is concerned for the souls leading on the wrong path.

Matthew 7:13-14

“Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.  Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

Matthew 7:15

But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves.

Yah is warning His loved ones to pay careful heed to whom you are listening and following.  There are many teachers and prophets that prophesized falsely.  False teachers and soothsayers make predictions to boost self-development and enjoy wealth. They form wrong perception about being made in the image of Him.  They are perverting the principles of truth from Yah's words to keep you focus on good things only.  They are not revealing genuine truth as they ought, and teach what they learned from man instead of Yah.  Many are man's followers.

Luke 6:39

And He spoke a parable to them, “Is a blind able to lead a blind? Shall they not both fall into a pit?

Matthew 15:24

"They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into a ditch.”

Fruit

You will know by their fruit who are false or true prophets and teachers.

Luke 6:43-46

For a good tree does not yield rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree yield good fruit.  For each tree is known by its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.  The good man brings forth what is good out of the good treasure of his heart, and the wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of the wicked treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.  But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say?"

John 15:5-11

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do naught!  If anyone does not stay in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.  If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.  In this My Father is esteemed, that you bear much fruit, and you shall be My taught ones.  As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love.  If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.  These words I have spoken to you, so that My joy might be in you, and that your joy might be complete."

The fruit is Yah's words, commands, precepts, counsels, wisdom, statutes, etc.  If they are not grown and guarded in you, you will be good for nothing and be thrown into the lake of eternal fire.

False teachers and prophets teach you to ignore what the English Bible calls “Old Testament”.  There is no such thing as "Old or New Testament".  Yah's words stay the same yesterday, today, and forever more.

Hebrew 13:8

יהושע (Hebrew for Yahawash/Jesus) Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Yahawash is Yah's word made in the flesh!

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.

Matthew 5:17-18

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets.  I did not come to destroy but to complete.  For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done."

Yahawash did not come to wipe away "the Old Testament" but to fulfill it for us as an atoning and everlasting sin offering to Yah.  He took away the death penalty that Yah's Torah demands for disobedience people.  Yah knew that man would never complete in obeying the full Torah and made a way for us through His Son, Yahawash, to have eternal life with Him.  Although we are given eternal life through Yahawash's blood, but we are still to obey His Torah out of love.  We are to be established in His image through His Torah.  Torah is the very heart of Yah!!!  We are to have the same heart as His.

Who is Yah?

Greetings!

Yah is a short Name of the Creator of Heavens and Earth.  The detail and explanation of His Name is provided on TEOYM's website:

There are many debates on the Name, Jesus.  I prayed to Yah concerning His Son's Name.  Below is the link on the Name, Jesus, posted on TEOYM website also:

Learning about their Names is fascinating!  Currently, I am learning Hebrew, and I love the Hebrew language.  Each letter and word have unique meaning in them, which is mind-blowing.

I pray and hope you will enjoy learning about their Names as I have.

Shalom,
Christina
